YOW -> YTZ -> BOS again
Dec. 8th, 2014 08:57 amYup, I'm on my way to Boston again. A western instead of a northern suburb, but still Boston(ish).
I screwed up on booking the return trip, though. I had forgotten I wanted to attend a party on Toronto Saturday evening while booking the return, so booked Boston -> Toronto -> Ottawa all on Saturday, rather than booking the stop-over in Toronto on the way home. Oops. When I finally realized I should fix this, last week, and called our (work) travel agent, the re-booking cost was kind of awful. And the idea of flying home from Toronto, then immediately hopping in the car to drive back to Toronto was not making me happy, either. But, you get your luggage in Toronto, so I figured I'd just walk out of the airport rather than taking my last flight. I looked at booking a Porter flight home on Sunday, which was about $180, then at Via -- and Via first class was more like $150, so I'm finishing this trip by train.
