Saturday in Korea
Jul. 5th, 2014 02:49 pmI wandered around a bit today, to find some lunch. The air is humid, and I think, not very clean. Not quite lung-hurty, but not great. It doesn't encourage doing much outside, though. I also located the bus stop for the airport bus. I took a taxi to the hotel, on the recommendation of the local contact. It made sense -- there are LOTS AND LOTS of buses from the airport, and finding the right one would be tricky. But headed back, there's a few buses from the local transit station, but finding the right one should be easy -- there's a stop specifically labelled for it, even in English. And it will be much cheaper - 75,000 Won from the airport by taxi, but only 15,000 Won for the bus. (Currently 1000 Won is about 1 US$, or about 1.10 CDN. Since it looks like prices here are tax-included, basically I can figure that 1000 Won is $1.)
I've picked out a place for dinner, too. A Pho restaurant just across the street from my hotel.
I was asleep around 10pm last night, and awake and up just before 8am this morning. And I'm still feeling relatively awake. Maybe the time change is going to go ok? We'll have to see after another couple of days.
