Gaming was good...
Nov. 3rd, 2013 12:41 amLots of people showed up: Lyne, Jens, ironphoenix, Antra, Jesse, beable, arndis, tchang, foms, Mouse, and of course, me.
I played Ricochet Robots (me/ironphoenix), then Tzolk'in: The Mayan Calender (me), and 1830 (me). Tzolk'in was a new game to me, and Jesse, but ironphoenix had played it before, and taught. A fascinating game, with a nice gimmick for how the board was setup -- wheels turning wheels. And, 1830 is a long game that I do appreciate the chance to bring to the table, and 4 is a good number for it. The game of 1830 ended with the bankruptcy of one player (Jesse), though there might have been another on the way since foms held two companies that both needed to buy diesels without a lot of cash on hand.
Also played were: Age of Empires (Antra), Inenious (Mouse), Blokus:Trigon (Mouse), Puerto Rico (arndis). A game of Middle Kingdom was setup, but not completed. Some amount of Zendo was, also, I think played.
