in South Lake Tahoe

Climbed at Lover's Leap today -- a couple of good 3-pitch climbs.

Looks like the AAC has found alternate plans for the meetup, so I (almost definitely) won't be climbing in Yosemite this trip. Of course, this means I'll have to make it to Yosemite another time.

More climbing, and an adventure

We decided to do a classic two-climb link up today: Surrealistic Pillar (5.7, 110m, 3 pitches) on Lower Buttress, then walk up to the base of Main Wall and climb Corrugation Corner (5.7, 135m, 3 pitches). Both classic climbs. It was awesome climbing -- both routes are really great.

But, there was a pair ahead of us on the second climb, which slowed us down, and so we finished that climbed after the sun had set -- and still had a walk-off descent to do. Took a wrong branch on that, and ended up doing a couple hours of after-dark hiking.

Definitely quite the day.
