Weekend, so far
Sep. 14th, 2013 09:13 pmI got in about an hour later than I expected last night -- with an ETA home of 12:30, this meant 1:30 instead. Not conducive to an early or good day the next day.
Jex and I had been planning to camp up at Montagne d'Argent tonight, but with the lack of sleep, and otherwise not feeling great, I decided I wasn't up to it. So, instead we ended up going for the day to Home Cliff in Gatineau Park. I lead a couple climbs there I hadn't lead before, and for one hadn't climbed before (the other I'd climbed once several years ago on top-rope). Both were at the top end of my range, the first I did get clean, the second I took a couple lead falls on. Both on bolts, not gear, though despite it being a mixed (both bolts and gear) climb. I was still happy with both leads, and I think I could get the 2nd one clean in another try or two.
