I'm still sleeping strange (for me) hours, 10pm - 6am or so. But, at least last night I had the energy to go out and find a restaurant.

Finding the restaurant wasn't too bad - my GPS took me right there. But, parking, that's another story. My rental car is too big... it is North American sized, not European sized, and the parking spots are all European sized. And, that's even after I asked for a smaller car than the one they first offered me at the airport. Still, I managed eventually to find a parking spot a few blocks from the restaurant, then find my way to it and back without getting lost. It was an Indian restaurant, but it still had the French style "menu" -- whole meal -- offerings.

We went for pizza for lunch yesterday, and for some reason, most of the pizza offerings at this place included egg. Egg on pizza, where is that a thing? Even the "American" pizza had egg on it. I had to tell everyone that pizza in America doesn't have egg on it. :) When the pizza came, the egg was a whole egg, cracked over the center of the pizza (individual sized pizzas), and not cooked enough. Not just the yolk was runny (ok), but too much of the white was runny (ick). I was, at least, able to scrape off to the side much of the runny white. Also, a very thin crust, almost unleavened, felt kind of like eating pita-pizza.

Breakfast at the hotel is pretty good, though. They even have real (Canadian!) maple syrup for the pancakes and crepes. I've been eating a solid breakfast most days, which is not normal for me at home -- though is fairly common when I'm traveling.
