On my way home...

And, finally, I'm on my way home. It has been a very good trip, but I'm still really looking forward to being home again, and to having a (mostly) relaxing week between now and the New Year. I'm also looking forward to seeing all sorts of friends on Friday, the 28th, for my birthday party. Hopefully, I'll be home for about 7pm.

I've made it to Washington-Dulles. We were delayed on the way out of Las Vegas -- apparently there was a "mechanical" issue, and apparently that was that they needed a sticker that said something was sealed. The something was sealed, but it also needed a sticker that said that, and they didn't have a sticker. At least I had a long enough stop-over here that I don't have to worry about missing my next flight.

Late, of course, but at least with all my luggage. Now, I probably need to dig my car out.

Car cleared... and backed out

Car was left at the wrong end of the driveway... oops. So, after clearing all the nasty ice, hard-freeze and snow off the car I had to get it out. It seems like a bunch of snow fell while wet, and has since frozen hard, so I didn't want to shovel the whole length, so I tried just backing it out. It worked. I think I get to thank my snow tires for that. :)
