A busy weekend...
Jun. 4th, 2012 02:59 pmI had a good date Friday night with my sweetie, who then spent the rest of the weekend in Toronto.
The weather wasn't compatible with my usual seasonal choice, climbing, so I had to find other things to do. So Saturday was still spent hanging off a cliff face on rope -- with Kate and Phil -- cleaning rock. This means scrubbing dirt, lichen, moss etc off the rock to make it better for climbing as well as getting rid of loose rock. Now the loose rock bit can get exciting -- sometimes it is a piece you can pick up easily, but other times it is pieces that are loose (so dangerous) but quite large. And they make some quite satisfying bangs and crashes as the fall down the cliff below you. (Just make sure there is nobody below you.) Of course, it was raining off and on all day, so we came home thoroughly soaked, and thoroughly dirty. And much of my climbing gear has been sitting around the house to dry out -- but unfortunately, not much drying is happening as it is too damp.
Sunday was a clean out the fridge day. My newest room-mate, Amelia, is mostly moved in and unpacking, but we went through the fridge and threw out anything unclaimed by her, Liv, or me. There was bunches of "where did that come from?" stuff. Yay for less clutter in the fridge. We may have to go after the freezer next. Also, we sorted the tupperware and got rid of everything that didn't pair up (lid with container). We also installed a new light fixture on the 3rd floor, so she now has a light with wall switches. Hm, and I did laundry... including much of the dirty cleaning stuff.
