EPC day 7 - storm on the mountain
Mar. 18th, 2012 10:12 pmI'm getting tired. Not of climbing, but I think I may have shin splints, so the walking around is getting more painful.
Celine didn't want to get up too early today, so I planned to start earlyish with Lyle (met down here), then Celine would join us for some cragging, after we'd done a 3-pitch climb. After we'd finished and rappelled down, we still didn't see them, so we figured maybe they'd just given up on climbing -- so we headed for another 4-pitch climb nearby. We got two pitches up, when it started raining (well, as I was following the 2nd pitch). We gave it a few minutes, but it didn't stop, so we decided to rappel down -- and as we were rappelling we got thunder, the wind got strong, and the rain heavier. So, we walked back down to the campsite, and by the time we were back, the weather was fine. Oh well. Only 5 pitches today. (That's almost a rest day after yesterday. :)
