Calypso

QNX had a company outing to the Calypso water park east of Ottawa today. I took shamanatrix along with me for the day. We got out there at park opening, about 10am, and hung around until about 2:30pm. Because of the weather, the place was almost empty - no lineups at all, just climb the stairs and jump onto the ride. Of course, this means a lot more stairs than if it was busy! We could have stayed much later -- but we were pretty worn out by that time. It does have a bunch of fun slides and a pretty nice wave pool. Also a "river", where you just drift along, but the water is nice and warm and they play jungle sounds at you and it has greenery along it. A nice relaxing break from the more exciting and tiring bits.

Not something I'm likely to do very often at all -- but a fun day's outing, especially with work paying for it. :)
