There was gaming
Jan. 9th, 2011 11:03 amWe played a few games yesterday. First Container (me), then Constantanopolis (frenchzie), and in parallel a couple games of Dominion (iclysdale & con_girl tie, iclysdale) then Stone Age (ironphoenix and green_ogre tie), followed by dinner then I was asked for an "easy fun game" so we played three games of Ca$h 'n' Gun$ (iclysdale, _niall, green_ogre).
Container is an interesting gaming of limited actions, money management, price setting, price setting, and then a blind-bid auction where everyone participating has a different valuation of the goods being auctioned.
Constantinopolis is a cubes -> vps type game, using a couple different mechanisms for doing the transfer. Not as highly interactive as Container, but there are some interesting competition points in an auction for player-order/special ability and limited building availability.
