I actually have this week with both no travel and not even local training. Wow... it has been way too long. I might actually be able to relax a bit!

frenchzie and I were driving around last night doing a bunch of shopping errands to help her accumulate stuff for her new house, and around about dinner time (Anglo dinner time) we were driving up Richmond street and I noticed a Thai restaurant, so we decided to stop in. Are we ever glad we did.

We both started with Tom Kha soup (Guy for me, the shrimp version for her), and it was one of the best soups of that type I've ever had -- and I order this soup at most Thai restaurants I eat at, since it is one of my favourite things to have at a Thai restaurant.

I had the Pad Brai Ga Prow (chicken, sauteed with Basil and hot peppers -- one of my favourites), and it was a good rendition of the dish.

frenchzie had a jungle curry (forget Thai name) with wild boar. It was absolutely scrumptious -- hot, with a strong rich flavour, and the use of wild boar in it was really good, because the stronger gamier flavour of the boar (as compared to pork) came through nicely, even under the really flavourful curry.

Nokham Thai Restaurant. 747 Richmond Road.
Lunch: 11:30-2pm Mon-Fri
Dinner: 5:00pm - 10pm 7 days/week.
