Cottage closed for the season

Went up to the cottage for the day -- did close down stuff with my parents, and had dinner for them. Hadn't seen them in a while, so that was good -- and it was a lot faster doing the stuff with me around to help, then just my parents doing it. I think I'll try to be around for this in upcoming years, too. (And, if I do it often enough, I'll know the routine when I need to start doing it on my own.)

Ankle seemed to hold up pretty well through it, too. I did take my hiking boots up & wear them, though, for the extra ankle support.

It also turned out to be quite a pleasant day to be up there -- sunny and nice. (Ok, cool -- but it is October.)

And, while I forgot to bring the various cottage linens up with me, I did remember to bring home ironphoenix's forgotten bowl.

Cleaning out some old stuff...

And some of it just needs to be thrown out... like condoms expiry dated in 2002.
