I went out climbing at a local gym this evening, did ok, but found I didn't really have my wind. I'd be breathing heavier after a route than normal, with my chest feeling tighter than it should, and just generally feeling tireder than I should. Still it was good to get out on some walls again.
The gym,
Dallas Rocks was ok -- moderately sized, with a fair bit of bouldering and a moderate amount of climbing -- unfortunately most of it over-hanging. There ratings for climbs seemed about right -- I could flash 5.9s and below, and get the easier 5.10s. But there bouldering grades seemed a bit soft -- I didn't do many problems, but I did flash a V3 (and did so latish in the evening, without much struggle) -- and I don't flash V3. Outside local (to Ottawa) I don't even hope to make it up a V3.
And, I'm still hoping to get out on some real rock this coming weekend, if the weather is ok.
