Scheduling conflicts and the south of France

I've got a training gig in Montpellier France coming up -- the week of November 16-20th. I've got parties both the Saturday before and the Saturday after. But, I have friends in Grenoble (less than 3 hour drive), there are excellent wineries at Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and probably some good climbing in the area.

To take extra time, or not. And, if so, when? Before or after?

Shouldn't they agree?

I was trying to make weekend plans this morning, so was checking Sunday's weather.

The weather network: Sunny, low -4, high 9.
Environment Canada: cloudy, low -6, high 8.

Ok, so they're close on the high/low. But one says completely cloudy, the other completely sunny. (Not mixed, not cloudy or sunny periods. Both solidly one way.) My conclusion: current weather patterns are unstable.
