Good two days of climbing
Sep. 7th, 2009 09:57 pmIt was a good two days of climbing at Montagne D'Argent, even if I didn't sleep well in the tent. I onsighted a trad 5.5 route, than a 5.7+ trad crack climb -- crack climbs aren't something I'm very practiced at, but are very common for trad climbs, so that was awesome experience. The guys I was climbing with were very encouraging. I also led a single pitch 5.9 sport route, and a 3-pitch 5.8, 5.7, and 5.8 route, where the last route was an off-width crack, and quite tough. Very physical climbing. I top-roped a few other routes, up to a 5.10c, which also made me happy. Over all, some very good climbing.
Oh yeah, I was up at 7am on Monday, too -- but that was 9 hours of sort-of-sleep, since we went to bed around 10pm.
