Damn cagers
Jun. 8th, 2009 06:04 pmIt isn't that they're out to get us, at least mostly it isn't. It is just that they don't look, and nearly kill us anyway.
I was riding up Bronson, in the left lane, a couple blocks short of Somerset, when a guy in a station wagon decides to make a right turn in front of me. He doesn't go into the completely clear for a ways behind me right lane, though -- he goes directly across into the left lane, right in front of me. Hard braking and a swerve around him preserved me -- luckily I noticed him inching forward, was ready, and read his wide turn. I wonder if he realized why I honked my horn at him as I came past him. Or did he just think I was an annoying biker?
(edit: I didn't know "cagers" was slang for basketball players. For motorcyclists, it is slang for those people who drive around with 4 walls (that is a cage) around them.)
