Arrived at El Potrero Chico

Well, I've made it to Posada El Potrero Chico. It was something of an adventure, but I did make it. Bed now, tomorrow evening I'll post about the adventure.

Nice morning

The sky is clear blue, the sun is shining, and I can see gorgeous cliffs from my little cabin. Climbing should be awesome.

I didn't sleep all that well -- not my bed, new noises, and all. But, hopefully, after a day of hard climbing I'll be tired enough to sleep well tonight. We'll see.

Climbing - Day 1

Did 8 pitches today -- 7 climbs, one was my first multi-pitch climb. Mostly various 5.10s, the (nominal) hardest was a 5.10c, which is harder than I can climb at Coyote. (I climbed that pitch clean.) I think the grades here are a bit soft, or as Becket (my guide) says, they are "vacation" grades, that will make you feel good on vacation.
