Dispatches from Queretaro
Jan. 25th, 2008 11:01 pmI've ridden in far too many taxis with no seatbelts in the back seat. Scary. I still always reach for the seatbelt when I climb in, to put it on, even when its not there.
Luckily, the traffic is far more sane and sensible here than in Mexico City.
When setting up the computers in the classroom, they brought in a small portable UPS unit. (Well, they didn't use it for the laptops, just for the regular computers.) I wonder what that says about the quality of the electricity supply? I didn't notice any problems at the customer's site this week, though my hotel had a blip one evening.
Spanish keyboards aren't quite as confusing as German ones.
