Friday night I had a little nap, then dinner, then prep for an early launch Saturday.

Saturday, up early (for a Saturday), have a good solid breakfast then drive part way to Reimer's Ranch, meet Pete, and get a lift with him the rest of the way.

Spend Saturday climbing on Prototype wall and then Dead Cats wall. Tried a 5.10(c?) route a couple times, though made it a lot farther on my 2nd try than my first. Climbed a 5.8 twice, led another 5.8, and climbed 3 or so 5.9s without much problem. Almost finished a 5.10c, though it was pretty clearly 5.9ish (maybe 5.10a) for most of the route, then the last two moves got way harder.

My original lift was heading back towards Austin around 6:30pm, but I was lucky enough to catch a lift with someone else I met there around 5pm. Got back to hotel, showered and changed, quickly checked email, then headed off to Houston.

Arrived to join Kim & Mark in the pub crawl portion of someone bachelor/bachelorette party, which I crashed. Did 2 pubs with them, until 1:30 or so in the morning. Then crashed on Kim & Mark's couch.

This morning up for brunch at a crepe place with K&M and a couple more people, then some chatting time with Kim, then back to Austin. Got some heavy rain on the way back -- hydroplaned once -- but the rain was also quite intermittent, even the clouds were. Rain coming down hard enough to put the wipers on "high" is enough to obscure your vision a fair bit, but when there's also a really bright spot of the sun coming through the clouds directly in front of you adding all that glare too, that's a lot to see through.

Now, I need to figure out where to eat. I wonder if I can find a salad bar somewhere -- I'm finding myself with a craving for veggies.
