Deals on the internet

Many have heard of woot, some have heard of tanga. There's a few other similar "deal of the day" type sites out there.

Maybe Cangames this year?

Cangames (Ottawa's gaming convention) is being held at the Rideau Curling Club, corner of Cooper and Percy -- about 2 blocks (well, three, because I can't go through my backyard to Bronson) from where I live. I think I should drop by. It runs May 18-20. I should even volunteer to run a game or two.

Sometimes good things end...

I read some online comics. Ok, I read a lot of online comics (more than 70 on an at least weekly basis, some of them update far more often.) One of my favourites, A Miracle of Science has just come to an end. I am sad to see it go, but appreciate that it was intended to end when it did, as it was a story, with beginning, middle, and end planned from the beginning.

The entire archive is available, starting here. It is a science-fictional story about mad science as a memetic disease, and I think it is well worth the hours of your life to read through it. (Oh, and it also has romance, and humour, and talking robots, and detective work, and lots of other neat stuff, too.)
