Wasn't that a weekend

Might have been the party,
Could've the three or four social dinners,
I don't know, but look at the mess I'm in,
Tell me, me oh, me oh my,
Wasn't that a weekend?
Yeah. Friday afternoon, a nice lunch with ragnhildr and t of i_and_t. Friday evening, poetry slam. An awesome show, that I really enjoyed. Stayed at the bar until 1:30 or so, then the feature artist, Andrea Thompson from Toronto, came back to sleep on my third floor. Friday morning -- yes morning -- was breakfast with Ritallin/Greg, succulentpoet, and Andrea. We met at the Elgin Street Diner for 9:15, because Andrea had an interview or something for 10:30. Then home, a quick bit of internet, and out for lunch with ragnhildr (the usual "after early music lunch", but without most of the participants), back to my place for tea and chatting with ragnhildr & leolac. Then some private time with leolac, packing, and off to Montreal. Dinner with my sister, Jenny, at 7pm in Montreal. That was good, hadn't seen her in a while, and finally got her Christmas presents to her. After dinner with Jenny, it was off to a party chez mellybean71 and sultrysong. When I arrived I found, to my absolute dismay, that I was the 2nd guy to arrive at the party -- though there were almost a dozen women. I was shocked and appalled. They made me be tall, and replace the light bulbs in a fixture, then the party got under way -- a good time catching up with people, including Reb who I hadn't seen in a dozen or more years, as well as a few others I hadn't seen in years. And, then there was the hot 18-yo who I remember when she was nicknamed "The Demon Child" and being hauled around cons by m&s, that is, who I remember as a little child. Wow, but time do fly. Wandered out of the party around 2:30am, back to my sister's place, where we had tea and sat up chatting until 4 in the morning, or so. Sleep, then up and out to meet concordantnexus for brunch for 11:30. Met at his place, wandered out, had breakfast, dropped him off, then back to Ottawa.
Tonight? Maybe dancing with leolac. We'll see how both of us feel. ;)
