Fun and revelations
Sep. 11th, 2005 07:54 pmIt's been a pretty good, not too stressful weekend. Friday evening has already been covered. Saturday was a sleep in, then took the motorcycle to the shop for an oil change and to have a couple things looked at; resulted in topping up the clutch fluid (which probably has a slow leak somewhere) and replacing the front brake pads. Along the way, I bought mesh armour -- after trying it in Texas (borrowed from friend), I found they really made a difference in the hot weather, so waited for end-of-season sales, and picked up mesh jacked & pants.
Then
leolac got home, and we spent a bit of time, and had some dinner, and headed off to
buttongirl's frosh party for
govianus. And, there, revelations abounded -- or at least, stuff that isn't normally revealed was revealed. I had a good time, with dancing and fun music, and loud drunk blondes, and even a bit of conversation. :)
Slept in today, yay. Didn't feel great when I got up, so decided not to go to Montreal, but by mid afternoon we were feeling up to a ride, so went and played in the Gatineaus for a while, finding some very enjoyable roads, even if they were a tad bumpy. Then again, everything around here tends to be bumpy. But, I guess I do have an interesting little tour to take visiting riders on if they want one, about 200km, or 3 hours.
Oh, revelations... I learned a few things about a few different friends, or their lives, this weekend, but I don't think those need to be shared in public. You know who you are. :)
