Good cottage weather
Jun. 5th, 2005 10:58 pmHad Pho on Friday with Rayne, David and Lee -- a pleasant meal in good company.
Then Saturday morning up for another breakfast at ESD with
succulentpoet. Was good to see you again, have a good June, see you in July. :)
Then shopping, a bit of prep, kill some time, and pick
leolac up around 5:30pm to go to the cottage. An awesome day to get out of the city, and ride up to the cottage. The roads weren't very busy, the weather was warm and sunny, and there wasn't too much sand or gravel in the corners. The cottage was beautiful, as always, including late night skinny-dipping on Saturday after dinner, in a lake that I found surprsingly warm for this early in the season (though, still cold if your feet dropped more than 2 feet from the surface). Then some canoeing, and walking, bbqing and generally good cottage times -- except for the nasty blood-sucking, whining, itch-causing mosquitoes. Yep, still mosquito season, too.
It was a wonderful day and half at the cottage, and it was just great weather for it.
