Dial-up. This bloody hotel has no high-speed internet hookup in the rooms (or maybe at all, for all I know), so I'm on dial-up. Argh. I'm SO spoiled by my usual connection speeds.

Well, at least I can get about 45 Kbaud, so it is ok for a random dial-up.

Well, since I was flying, Ottawa decided to have a snow storm. My plane was about 1.5 hours late getting to Ottawa, and so we were about 2 hours late leaving, meaning I missed my connection in Atlanta. Luckily, there was another flight about 2h50 minutes after my original one, so I picked that one up instead. Got in to Houston, got my rental car, drove all the way accross Houston to my hotel. You see, both my hotel and where I'm training are out near the airport... the main airport... north of Houston, but I flew into Houston-Hobby, to the south of Houston. And, I didn't notice this... so all my planning for driving, mapquest directions, etc. had assumed I was arriving at the nearby airport, i.e. that I didn't really need to plan a route as I was "right there". This is going to make getting to my morning flight on the way out a bit more of a pain, too. But, the lineups for security might not be as bad.

Hotel has coin laundry, so I should be able to do some laundry. :)

The coffee stations down here all seem to go for "coffee whitener" not cream. :(

Even the free coffee at the (small) free breakfast at the hotel. :( :(
