Good Christmas day

Had a nice Christmas afternoon and dinner at my parents' place, with gabriel_le. It was quieter than normal, since neither of my sisters were there. C is celebrating Christmas at home in B.C., then coming to Ottawa on the 27th. J is at her boyfriend's mom's place in Newbrunswick, and will be in Ottawa on the 28th. So, we'll be having another celebration on the 28th, when the rest of the family is here, and it just conveniently happens to be both my and my niece's (C's daughter, Jaz) birthday. With gabriel_le, too, though neither of the boys, it should be a bit busier. Still, was very nice, and the Turkey was yummy today.

Also, I got a wonderful new housecoat, and some knife sharpening tools, so those of you who kept complaining about my knives being so dull should, hopefully, find that they are better. No games, yet, but there was a very game-ish looking package at my parents place waiting for my birthday, and J is likely to have gotten me a game, too. So, I'll have to report on that after the 28th.

I'm also next headed out climbing on the 27th, and I feel like I'm going to be hauling an extra 20 pounds up the walls.

Totally, if I knew I had to choose between my Mom's house being decorated and the goodies we baked together, I SO would have gone for the tree.

Well, I LIKE Christmas baking, too. It wouldn't be the same Christmas without the baking. But, it stills feels like the season to gain not just stuff, but also weight. Exercise regime drops off, cause you're busy and eating increases.
