Tired!

I went climbing this evening at Coyote. I'd arranged to meet a climbing partner for 7pm, and got there for about 6:30, figuring early better than late -- and I could boulder to warm up. Bouldered a bit, 7pm rolled around, and she doesn't show up. Well, maybe she got confused -- we had said 8pm next week, so I'll give it a chance. Bouldered off and on until 8pm, when she does in fact show up. Yay. I climbed a couple 5.9s, made another attempt on one that has been frustrating me (and her) for a while -- it involves a lot of inverted work, with heel hooks and stuff like that. Then, a few other climbs, getting easier and easier -- and finding myself way tired on them. We finally called it an evening around 10:30. Now, my whole body feels tired -- though especially my arms.

I was also out climbing Monday evening at Vertical Reality with gabriel_le. Not as along and physically taxing a session, but still good.

And, I'm definitely finding that my climbing has improved. I don't know whether it is strength improvements, or technique, or a combination -- but I'm able to use holds, especially hand-holds, that I didn't use to be able to use. And, even, to find some holds that I would previously have found to be bad, to be decent.
