Glad I'm not a parent
Oct. 15th, 2006 09:13 pmI had dinner with
shastan and her 20-month-old daughter, Naomi. While Naomi is adorable, and so shy around strangers that she'd grab my hand, taken me to sit at her little table with stickers, and then told me I sat in the wrong chair (her chair) within 5 minutes of me getting there, I still don't want one. Sure, it is ok being a jungle gym, book-reader, levitation device, trampoline, and otherwise child's play device for a little while; but I don't want to do it full-time. No-way, no-how.
And, it was good to see shastan again, too.
And... in further social plans, I will probably be climbing again on Wednesay, may be getting up to San Francisco on Thursday for dinner with
netmouse, then dinner on Friday with shastan and Alan, if the consultation on plans after he returns doesn't come up with any conflicts.
But, I still miss gabriel_le, and hope that her long trip today has gone well, and that she is home soon.
