Mmm... gaming

After brendand suggested gaming, tammylc was nice enough to invite us over to her place. We ended up with 5, adding eviljohn and scottij, and decided on Amun Re. I had played this once, many years ago, and had minimal memory of the rules or strategy, so was basically re-learning everything. (I'd played it from "read the rules" once with a group, and I'm pretty sure we got bits of things wrong. At least, I remember getting bits wrong, and realizing part way through that we had.) I finished tied for first with tammylc. Thanks all for the good game.

Well played, especially for your first game in a while!

I don't know about this, though.... It seems like every time you're in town, I lose! :-)

Maybe I'm bad luck for you?

I did feel like I had more of a clue with Amun Re than I did with Caylus. I'm not sure I knew what I was doing entirely, but I had a better feeling at times of having some sort of plan, and pursuing it. In Caylus, not so much.
