A meme! (Stolen from much_ado.)
1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
"ago right after we settled here, and it was this same damned"
(from _The Parable of the Talents_ by Octavia Butler)
2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
HP inkjet printer
3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Ooh, that's a tough one. I'm not sure what the last thing I actually watched on TV was, but there's a good chance it might have been the Buffy Finale (when it first aired, not in reruns).
4. WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is.
6:45 p.m.
5. Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?
6:48pm
6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
Well, the music playing on the speakers connected to the computer, not sure if that counts as the computer or not. I can (vaguely) here the clock on the wall when it ticks, but most everything else (besides my keyboard clacking) is masked by the music.
7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
Last evening, unloading my car from my trip home from Ad Astra.
8. Before you came to this website, what did you look at?
My email.
9. What are you wearing?
Purple poofie top, t-shirt, grey sweat pants, white socks, sandals, eye glasses.
10. Did you dream last night?
I'd assume yes.
11. When did you last laugh?
This afternoon, would either have been chatting on IRC or reading someone's LJ.
12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?
A wall clock, lots of bookshelves, a smoke detector, two paintings, a poster, a whiteboard, a lot of dust, and some cobwebs.
13. Seen anything weird lately?
Depends on what is defined as weird, but yes, and yes.
14. Last movie you saw?
Another tough one. Probably _Return of the King_.
15. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
I'd probably do a bunch of renovations and repairs on my house, including a
new kitchen and several new appliances.
16. Tell me something about you that I don't know.
I have owned 4 motorcycles in my life.
17. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
I'd give everyone an extra 4 hours a day, that couldn't be used for anything other than reading books.
18. Do you like to dance?
Yes, I love to dance.
19. George Bush: is he a power-crazy nutcase, or someone who is finally doing something that has needed to be done for years?
I refuse to answer somewhat complex questions in a simple a/b format. Down with dualism.
20. Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
I'm experiencing a failure of imagination.
21. [Same question for a boy]
Ditto.
22. Would you ever consider living abroad?
I have considered living in the U.S. From Canda, that doesn't really feel like "abroad", but I guess it is. I can't see moving farther than that, because of distance to family and friends. So, I guess I would consider it, but I think after consideration my answer would probably be no.
