Small (poly) World Party

dagibbsSo, last Sunday while sitting outside MEC (cause, gabriel_le has made many trips to MEC in the last couple weeks), an old friend (S) that I haven't seen in years (at a guess, 5-6) walked by, stopped, and said hello. We did all the "must see each other soon", and soon was today, when she was having a birthday party. Just awesome to reconnect. Though, we've both had some idea of what was going on in each other's life through mutual friends.
So, at the party, someone else there asked me how I knew S. My answer was that a good while ago, we were both dating t-j at the same time, and that is how we met. A little later, iclysdale showed up, and he and I were chatting, and this same person asked how I knew iclysdale, and I got to say, well he is married to my ex-, commodorified (who was, also, at the party). And, of course, I met t-j through commodorified.
It was a most excellent party, with a great spread of food, and it is wonderful to get back in contact with S. We'll have dinner soon... soon likely being August. But, that is soon, relatively.
And, when I talked about climbing, one of S's partners expressed interest, so we're going climbing on Tuesday. Wootage.
