Exes

So it was a (n extended) weekend of exes. Saturday afternoon, had lunch with T-J. Then Sunday dinner with Lorayne. Was supposed to have Pho around midnight on Sunday with Marna, but that got rebooked to today.

All in all, they all went well. I was most nervous about Marna, since she was the one I'd been most long out of contact with, and in some ways, had the roughest breakup with.

I just need to call Kyle, and write D back, and I'll have done the complete circuit. Hm... well... not quite, I guess.

(Was it an excess of exes?)

I've played that game. It can be tricky; though I suppose in a Poly context it's not as bad. Less finite, I would guess.

I've always been ok with Lorayne. T-J and I have been friendly again for a while. I have been thinking about reconciliation, or moving closer to friendliness with Marna, for quite a while, though it was mostly triggered by the overlapping friend group up from Toronto.

I prefer to be friendly with exes -- I decorated for my first ex's wedding, for instance.

And, Marna seems to be doing well, these days. As to her wish... I'm not sure, of which wish did are you thinking? If it is to be a mother, then no.

I try to stay friendly with my exes too, but sometimes it's not possible. Luckily, the one I'm going to be related to seems to still like me.

Glad to see the attempt to move to friendliness - while there were very serious reasons why you couldn't work long term, I think that there were also very good reasons to be friends. Hope you can find a good space together.

Actually it can be way worse - you can't get that space apart from the ex because ze is too connected to everything else.

I see your point. On the other hand, the breakup (as I imagine it) can be less drastic. When there is only one space in your romantic life, and it is occupied, intimacy with exes is absolutely impossible and that can create tensions.
