"I was in the neighbourhood"
Mar. 22nd, 2006 09:01 pmYesterday evening I drove about an hour (about 60 miles/100 km) to a friend's place, hung around a bit, then we drove another 15 minutes to dinner with more friends, hung around for a couple hours, and drove home... because I was "in the neighbourhood". Yup, about 2.5 hours of driving for about 3 hours social time, cause I was (relatively speaking) close by. And, I like occasionally showing up at Tio's or doing other random Michigan fandom social things -- it confuses people, they think I'm local or something.
