I'm at Arisia, and awake way too early on a Saturday morning.
The drive down went well, though didn't get great sleep Thursday night, in fact I don't think this is going to be a weekend of good sleep -- sharing a double bed does not work very well for me.
Con seems ok, but I'm in an odd place with Arisia, and east-coast cons. I don't come often enough to really get to know people, but have been to them recently enough that I recognise people, or at least think I do, but can't remember their names. I don't want to just wander up and say, "uh, I think I remember your face". Nope, just doesn't work for me.
I also bought a bunch of games at Le Valet D'Coeur in Montreal on the way through, which is way good. Including a 56-piece set of the funny hexagonal matching tile pieces game thing, which might make a couple people happy. :)
And, last night I played a new game, works well with up to 8 people (I played twice, with 6 and 8 people) and is not overly long. It is an elimination game, but the elimination generally happpens between 2/3s of the way through and the end, and with the game running (I would say) about 30 minutes or less, this doesn't leave huge "sit out and wait" time. It is called Tsuro and made by Wizkids. Neither of the games dealers here seemed to have a copy, so I will have to look elsewhere.
